Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport is located 24kms northwest of Dallas and 29kms from Fort Worth. It is a large facility boasting four terminals, and is one of America's busiest airports.
The four terminals - A, B, C and E - serve domestic, European, Latin American and Pacific region destinations. All four terminals are linked by a complimentary rail shuttle. Bureaux de change booths are located in terminals A, B and E. Other essential facilities include a post office, banks, ATMs, and fax and internet points at all terminals.
There are various cafés, snack bars, and restaurants throughout the terminals, as well as a wide range of duty-free shops and regular stores selling everything from newspapers and books to clothes and Texan-style souvenirs.
The Skycap stand offers assistance for the disabled, and is situ
ated on the lower floor of each terminal. Other standard disabled facilities include specially adapted toilets and telephones, and ramps and lifts. There is an airport information booth in the main atrium of each terminal.
There is a free rail link connecting the hotels and parking lots with the terminals. Buses are linked to the free airport rail service, with connections to both cities running every 30 minutes.
Dallas has the Dallas Area Rapid Transport; while Fort Worth has the Forth Worth Airporter Service. By car, Dallas is along the International Parkway south, and the I-35 south. For Fort Worth, take SR-183, SR-121 and I-35 east. Taxi ranks are situated outside the terminal exits.
There are both short- and long-term car parks within walking distance of the terminals, or you can take advantage of the free rail link.
