You can also visit the Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum, sample the delicious Key lime pie, and finish off each day at Mallory Square sipping a magnificent margarita while being entertained by the juggling and acrobatic feats of local performers.

From Key West you can explore the scenery of the other Keys, of which Key Largo is most well known, while travelling back to the tip of the Florida peninsula, you will find the vast wetlands of the Everglades. Although Key West has its own international airport, visitors from Europe or other long-haul destinations will have to land at Miami International Airport. From Miami International, you can either connect to Key West International Airport or use a shuttle (2-3 hours by car).
