Serving Europe and North America, Shannon Airport is extremely modern, comfortable and well designed. The airport also serves flights to and from western Ireland’s centres, such as Limerick, Galway and Killarney.
The airport has all modern facilities, which include an Arrivals hall, exchange bureaux, ATMs, postal services, a nursery, a tourist information and hotel booking desk, left luggage and a tax refund service, as well as convenience stores. If you are travelling directly or indirectly to a destination outside of the EU, duty-free shopping is available, provided that your travel is completed within a single day.
The Gold Circle Lounge is available to Aer Lingus Gold Circle Club members, while the Rineanna Suite is currently available to Continental Airlines Business First passengers, Delta Airlines Business Elite passengers, Royal Jordanian and British Airways First Class passengers and selected Air Rianta passengers.
Great food and service can be found at the Estuary Café, which is open from 07:00 to 18:00. As well as the café, there is The Pub Upstairs, where you can sit and relax with a drink or hot food. When everything else closes, there is still the Sheridan Bar, which is open all hours and is located in the Departures lounge.
The airport is easily accessible, located only 24kms north of Limerick city, and transfers are easily made by bus or taxi. The bus service is run by Eireann, the national bus network servicing all regions of Ireland. There is also a train network, but services are limited and infrequent.
The parking area includes 200 spaces, and there are special offers for frequent users. Both short- and long-term parking is offered 24 hours a day, every day. The airport also provides parking for disabled persons. The Airport Information Desk, provided by Aer Rianta staff, is situated in the Arrivals concourse. It is open from 06:00 to 23:00 daily.
